Treasured Light On The Hilltop

“Your lives light up the world. Let others see your light from a distance, for how can you hide a city that stands on a hilltop?  And who would light a lamp and then hide it in an obscure place? Instead, it’s placed where everyone in the house can benefit from its light.  So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others so that the commendable things you do will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.”

Mt.5:14 – 16

Have you ever been in a situation or place where everything around you is dark, and you have to grope in the darkness to find your way or avoid missing your steps? I should know because I come from a country where the organization that supplies light to the household often fails to do its responsibility. I can tell you it is tough and terrifying to be in such a situation. It is usually a celebration moment that when the light finally comes back, and you will get the shout of, ” Up NEPA!” from everyone.
You will agree with me that the whole world is indeed in gross darkness with people in state unrest, not knowing what next. That’s why you and I come in as the ” light on the hilltop,” offering light to the dark world. The way to do this is, is to live a life that radiates God’s love and hope, and those who are crushed by trouble and have no desire to live, will see the light and be attracted to it. What an excellent time to turn-up your light.
