THE NEW BEAUTIFUL YOU IS EMERGING
But that’s not all! Even in times of trouble we have a joyful confidence, knowing that our pressures will develop in us patient endurance. And patient endurance will refine our character, and proven character leads us back to hope. And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us!
Romans 5:3-5 TPT
I recently saw a long row of dominoes set bumping into each other, starting from the first one hitting the next and so on and one until they all fell.
Have you ever heard of “Dominoes affects”?
A domino effect or chain reaction is the cumulative effect produced when one event sets off a chain of similar events. The term is best known as a mechanical effect and is used as an analogy to a falling row of dominoes.
The same effect is what happens in reverse when troubles start in your life. The pressure of life can be devastating in the beginning, but at the end of it all, there is beauty, strength, understanding, and wisdom that comes from within you.
Let us look at the steps according to the quoted Bible passage.
PRESSURE (Trouble, suffering)
REFINED AND PROVEN CHARACTER CHARACTER
LEADS US BACK TO HOPE( DOES NOT DISAPPOINT US. NOT A FANTASY)
EXPERIENCE ENDLESS LOVE OF GOD (produced by the Holy Spirit)
Joseph was a man with a prophecy from God but was sold by his brother into slavery, which led to his move from the pit to Potiphar house, to prison, and eventually the palace. Hear what was written of him later in psalms
“Until the time that his word [of prophecy regarding his brothers] came true, The word of the Lord tested and refined him.”
Psalms 105:19 AMP
Just like Joseph made it through, You are also making it through. You should appreciate the fact that you are still arriving every morning doing what you can do. Your character is being refined, and that stimulates hope, which is a reminder of God’s endless love.
Quick reminder- through it all God walk’s beside you holding your hands ( Pause and picture that in your mind) – Isaiah 43:1-2; Eph.3:20)
Father, thank you for what you alone can do. I ask for grace for my sisters and I to go through whatever pressure where are struggling with right now that the refined us can emerge in Jesus’ name.
